Do you want to know how to earn money blogging?

The majority of bloggers appeared to be making money, but I also came to the conclusion that this is not an easy way to generate money online.

Since you’ve heard that starting a blog is a simple way to make money online, you took the plunge, but you’re probably unaware of how bloggers actually make money.

Many of these techniques involve an initial financial or time investment. That indicates that you are ready to put in the most work necessary so that your blog will be successful.

And I’m going to offer you a fast overview of how to monetize your blog in this article, along with all the strategies I employed to do it.

1. Ad Networks

One of the simplest and quickest methods to start making money with a blog is to display ads on it. There are well-known ad networks that are frequently used to monetize blogs, if you’ve never heard of them before.

  • AdSense by Google
  • Media.net

To be accepted for Adsense and those ad networks, you must have a blog with original and well-written blog entries. Based on the context of your article and user interest, these ad networks will automatically display adverts to readers of your blog.

The following screenshot shows my AdSense account in the early days when it was allowed for me to display adverts on my blog:

When you initially start out making money from your site, Google Adsense is a terrific way to start making money online.

To get started, check out my tutorial on how to receive Adsense approval.

Your income will, however, be based on the number of monthly blog visitors. But keep in mind that no website receives thousands of visitors when it is first launched, so you must continue to post and promote original material to increase blog traffic.

2. Affiliate Promotion

One of the most lucrative methods to monetize an intermediate-level blog is through affiliate marketing.

The best part is that you can earn much more money than you would from a single click on an advertisement you place on your blog using an ad network.

In fact, since I started my site, affiliate marketing has been the most successful way for me to monetize it.

Today’s bloggers tend to favour this, and the majority of major firms also provide affiliate programmes for their goods.

All you have to do is sign up for similar affiliate programmes in the subject area of your blog and share your specific affiliate link for the item you are endorsing with readers of your site.

You will receive a sizable percentage from the sale amount when someone makes a purchase via one of your affiliate links.

You can see one of my affiliate earnings from an affiliate programme I’ve joined in the screenshot below:

You can sign up for some of the well-known affiliate marketing marketplaces and programmes listed below:

  • ShareASale
  • Affiliate programme for Amazon
  • ImpactRadius
  • Fiverr Partner
  • Affiliate CJ (formerly Commission Junction)

There are numerous types of affiliate programmes, including those for travel, finance, fashion, beauty, and fitness, as well as for online services like web hosting, website builders, VPNs, and other things.

As a result, it’s simple to identify the top affiliate programmes in any field and sign up to start earning money from your blog.

Each affiliate programme, however, has a unique agreement. When you sign up for a programme, you should think about how the affiliate programme will benefit you. You should also let your readers know that you are an affiliate.

3. Third-Party Content

You may monetize your blog in a lot of different ways, including with sponsored posts, content, and reviews. A sponsored blog post is, to put it simply, when a blogger receives payment to discuss a business or product on their site.

These entries can include product reviews, suggestions, or an article on the product or business that includes links to a website.

Joining a network that links sponsors and publishers is the best method to start writing sponsored blog pieces.

4. Market digital goods

On-site digital goods sales are a terrific method to boost your blog’s income. In reality, the majority of well-known bloggers market their own goods, such eBooks.

If you truly generated an eBook with a plus value for your niche, it is enticing to sell to many blog readers and has numerous benefits.

If your products pertain to some of the categories, you can post them on other online marketplaces like Etsy and sell them there as well as on your blog or Amazon.

Here are some suggestions for the top digital goods to market on your blog:

eBooks

  • Imaginary Image/Video
  • Printables
  • 3D designs
  • Audios (Jingles, Ringtones, Sound effects)
  • Templates
  • Mockups
  • WordPress plugins and themes
  • visual components
  • Photoshop/Lightroom presets

Additionally, you may make money by selling things readers actually need by producing and selling templates for a number of uses, including social media templates, resumes, media kits, logos, and printables.

These Canva Pinterest templates, which I have published on the Etsy store, are a straightforward example of a template.

You may also develop templates to use with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. I intended them to be used using the Canva graphic design tool for ease of use.

5. Introduce a course online

Selling online courses is a terrific way to create a new passive revenue stream if you can turn your text-based eBook into a video tutorial.

You can earn more money with an online course in any field because there are numerous courses available on a variety of topics.

However, it actually requires some effort, and you also need to produce worthwhile course material in a fantastic structure.

Simply go to Teachable, sign up for a free account, and start creating your course without any prior technical knowledge if you have no idea how to develop and launch a course.

Additionally, editing videos for your course content is a significant factor. If you utilise the wrong tools, it can take a lot of time.

If you’re looking for one of the best online video editors, consider InVideo to produce gorgeous, professional-level videos in a matter of minutes using a variety of pre-made themes.

Moving forward

A blog can be created by anyone. However, just a small number of bloggers earn millions of dollars annually. Others earn a respectable full-time salary, while some earn less and many do not.

The only catch is that you must put smart money-making techniques into practise if you want to be able to structure your life around a respectable blogging income. The secret to long-term success is consistently top-notch blog content.

Despite the fact that there are numerous ways to monetize your site, I advise against trying to do so all at once.

You can start a blog and post informative articles. You can easily start making money blogging after your blog gains a respectable amount of blog traffic.
